We grew up watching these amazing Retro International kids programs which taught us so many things about life while watching those characters who looked cute with those big innocent eyes wondering how the world is and I seldom felt this could be happening to me too and at times I really did, like as-though I was living that life. The Character was in me, I put myself in their place and kept wondering what was goin' on? Will I be able to understand the problem that was there, Will I be able to find the answers they are lookin' for or what would happen next? the curiosity and building of a suspense in those shows for the little viewers was brilliant according to me. Some of them were so informative, educative and most of the times we learned a lot about emotions which were similar to our real lives and how we got ideas to use 'em or tackle them or even trick with our folks at home ha ha! It was simply a wonderful time. I just can't stop saying that and why should I, precious days those were but the sad part is that we also wanted to grow up pretty fast, just so that nobody has to tell what and when?
Well, today all I could say about such programs for the little ones, is that they developed somewhere an endearing charm that today as an adult we'll always keep haunting for. This is what I personally believe. What do you think? :)
Here are some Retro shows for kids aired on Doordarshan. Have a Good time, Folks!
He Man
Hmm He-man! and the Masters of the universe!! There was no possibility to have missed this awesome show when you were a kid, am I right? The Title credits that introduced the characters firstly He-man who is Prince Adam, talks about himself and his Goal to protect their planet i suppose known as Eternia. By using his Sword powers and before using it he always says those magic words "By the Power of Gray-skull, I HAVE THE POWER" which transforms him from a Prince to a powerful being "HE-MAN" and his cat Cringer into
a tiger. He has a team of 4 members i remember "Sorceress and Orko" there were others which i have forgotten their names, so they are a team who are to protect their planet Eternia and the Universe. The skelton's face in the end laughing from the opening credits of HE-MAN is flashing in mind as I write this post :)

In 2000, TIME named the series one of the greatest television shows of all time.
Beginning in 1960, in addition to the original 114 H-B cartoons, MGM had new shorts produced by Rembrandt Films, led by Gene Deitch in Eastern Europe. Production of Tom and Jerry shorts returned to Hollywood under Chuck Jones's Sib-Tower 12 Productions in 1963; this series lasted until 1967, making it a total of 161 shorts.
